The festival of Holi falls in the full moon of Shukla Paksha of Falgun (Phalguna) month. On this occasion, people generally play Holi with color and abir, enemies also become friends in the festival of Holi. This is a holy festival. Lord Shri Krishna is described as playing Holi in holy book Mahabharata.

It is believed that worshiping Holika in Holi removes us from negative energy and gives us happiness, prosperity and increase in wealth.

The legends associated with Holi are as follows - Holika and Prahlad, Shri Radha and Shri Krishna, Kamadeva, Dhundhi, Putana.
